Darts

With the absence of pub darts in Omagh for nearly twenty years and with the huge amount of TV coverage the sport was getting the Weigh Inn realized that the time was right to re introduce darts to Omagh.  In January 2009 we held our first open tournament in memory of one of Omagh’s greatest dart throwers, the late Laurence Brannigan.  Almost a hundred throwers turned up on the day, and we knew then that darts had been thoroughly missed in the Omagh area over the years.

Since then we have held numerous very successful tournaments attracting some of the top PDC and BDO players from around the country – North and South.  The demand was such that we now have eight boards in use, and we intend to hold top quality tournaments with fantastic cash prizes including the second hosting of the Weigh Inn Irish Open Darts weekend in September, with over £10,000 in prize money.
